Chic featuring Nile Rogers Returns with 1st new song in 23 years!
It has been 23 years since Chic last release new material. Now, with Nile Rogers recent success with Daft Punk, Robin Thicke and others it felt right for Chic to release new material. Although most of it is not new in the sense that it was recorded today but it is new in the sense that it is from unreleased or unfinished Chic material from the 70s and 80s. After finding out that he has be diagnosed with cancer in 2011, Nile Rogers wanted to go back and touch up those tunes and This is the result of those sessions, a masterfully retro but modern take on disco with and EDM flair " I'll be there". In 2013 he announced that after under going treatment he is now cancer free.
