Spike Lee to Direct Hip-Hop Romeo & Juliet Film Prince of Cats

                                       

Cat's out the bag! The legendary director Spike Lee is taking on another super throwback classic.

Spike Lee will direct the film adaptation of the graphic novel Prince of Cats, which is a hip-hop version of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet.

Prince of Cats is set in the 1980s in “Da People’s Republic of Brooklyn,” and is rooted in the hip-hop culture of DJing, MCing, breakdancing, and graffiti writing.
