Public Enemy to use new method to get music to fans

Public Enemy is using a new method to get it's new single "Get Up, Stand Up" to fans according to Spin Magazine.
Bit Torrent, which has long been the trojan horse of the new music industry, is going to be used by Public enemy to distribute it's new single directly to fans for free as long as they provide an email address.  The new service is called Bit Torrent bundle and it will allow artists to directly connect with the fans and offer them free tracks and inside scoops to other offerings for sale before the general public.

Public Enemy manger Gary "G-Wiz" Rinaldo said in a post about Bit Torrent recently "For many established people in the music business, there's a fear that comes along with [file-sharing]". "We don't have that fear. The ability to freely share an archive and have flexibility on how it can be used is an extremely powerful tool when it comes to making music and media available."
