CD Players in cars may become extinct by 2016

The once ubiquitous CD player is slowly fading away in the automobile industry.
The car CD player is being replaced by USB ports, hard drives, smartphone connections and streaming apps. Several new models have either removed the CD player or have relegated it to the armrest or the glove compartment signaling a sign as to how much it will be used. New technology and the changing way we consume our media is changing at a very fast pace and the automobile industry is usually the first to do away with old technology.
