Minnesota Timberwolves Reveal Prince-Inspired Jerseys

The Minnesota Timberwolves revealed a special jersey that honoring the Purple One Prince. 

ESPN reports the Nike-designed uniforms are an ode to the Minnesota native's Purple Rain album cover.

The jersey letters mimic Prince's album font and the pattern on the right shoulder mimics the jacket Prince wore on the cover.

                            

There's also a small paisley marker hidden beneath the flap of the shorts and the bottom left leg has a “MPLS” stamp, which is the abbreviation Prince liked to use for his hometown.

The jerseys will be worn during eight games this season, including five at home.
