Warner Bros. New 2021 Release Plan To Change Movie Culture
Warner Bros. is adapting to the hard hit of COVID-19 to the movie theater business.
The studio announced 17 new films will release in theaters and also on the HBO Max app at the same time for a one-month window. The viewing window starts the same day they become available in theaters.
The studio's 2021 movie list includes Wonder Woman 1984, The Suicide Squad, The Matrix 4, Dune, Godzilla vs. Kong and Space Jam: A New Legacy, Tom & Jerry, Mortal Kombat, and more.
The streaming move is likely to change business for theater owners and the landscape of moviegoing in 2021.
