/Harlem Globetrotter legend Fred “Curly” Neal died at 77 Wednesday. Globetrotters member Curley “Boo” Johnson took to social media to share the news. Neal died at his Houston, Texas home. Neal, who was with the Globetrotters from 1963 through 1985, had his No. 22 jersey retired in February 8. “We have lost one of the most genuine human beings the world has ever known," Globetrotters GM Jeff Munn said in a released statement. “His basketball skill was unrivaled by most, and his warm heart and huge smile brought joy to families worldwide. He always made time for his many fans and inspired millions.”
